Doing business in such a place also has its specifics. Unlike the café in Krupina, people come here primarily for the culture, the manor house, the park, and then for the coffee. So in this respect it is more important to attract customers with a quality product. The taste profile of the coffee we set a little bit more for the middle and older generation, after all, there are a lot of tours coming here, so with some fermented acidic arabica we would not have been able to do it. (Laughs) But in general, the coffee culture in the region is going up a lot, which is great. We also have guests who come to us just for the coffee and to sit in the nice courtyard, which we're happy about. Depending on that, we might add another mill for the year so that we can please even the biggest connoisseurs.
The Profile Café is a hidden gem in a side street off the main square, offering the ideal combination of accessibility and tranquillity. The summer terrace is a popular spot for those looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The interior of the café is a masterpiece where raw stone meets warm wood, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the cosy clubhouses of British gentlemen. The space is dominated by a magnificent historic tiled fireplace, which adds to the uniqueness and history of the place. In the past, it housed a fireplace studio, and Peter, the owner of the café, has cleverly used the work of his predecessors to create a place with an unmistakable atmosphere, where history meets modern design.
12 years ago, the Impresso café was established in the Fončorda housing estate in Banská Bystrica with the aim of bringing customers to the previously little-known world of fine coffee. From the beginning, we focused on varietal coffee, quality homemade cakes and artisan drinks, creating a space where people could enjoy truly honest products. Gradually, we built a community of good coffee lovers and became part of the coffee culture in the region. This beginning also later led me to owning my own coffee truck and roastery, Profile Coffee Roastery.
After the corona period ended, Impresso Coffee Truck was created so we could bring select coffee, homemade cakes and craft beverages closer to the people of the region. We wanted quality coffee to be enjoyed not only in the coffee shop, but also at festivals, markets and events. This project allowed us to expand our reach and strengthen our connection with the community of good coffee lovers.
