Why Profile? The profile of a coffee is recognised by two senses - smell and taste. And it is with the mouth and nose that the coffee shop logo works on the human face from the profile. At the same time, these two senses reveal to each owner whether he is dealing with good or bad gastronomy.
He opened the first café Impresso Coffee in Banská Bystrica in a classic Slovak housing estate. The brand prides itself on ensuring that every cup meets high standards.
He started his own "coffee truck" to bring quality coffee to various festivals and events. Jan's job currently involves not only looking after the running of Impresso Coffee, but also preparing for festivals. During these, he actively interacts with customers and introduces them to various coffee specialities.
In his new roastery project Profile Roastery, he shares his passion for coffee with long-time friend Peter Ruman. The two have been collaborating and talking about coffee and gastro and are excited to bring a joint product to market in the form of Profile Coffee Roastery's selection of coffee.
Peter founded the Profile brand, under which he opened cafés first in Krupina and then in a beautiful manor house in Svätý Anton. Nowadays, he is running two cafés and with his friends he has started another project - e-bike rental. But besides work, he does not forget his family and still has room in his head for ideas, creativity and other projects. His latest project is a roastery roasting his own selection of coffee from the Hont region - Profile Coffee Roastery.
He studied at the hotel academy in Zvolen, which he sees as the greatest school for his further work in gastronomy. He was also shaped by his work as a waiter on a cruise ship in France. After returning from the ship, he helped start businesses in Bratislava, Košice and Prague. And it was this experience that gave him a good foundation for opening his own business.

This is evidenced by events such as wine tasting coupled with streetfood tasting, cupping, and tasting and talking about the workings of a craft brewery. By the way, they have Huncúta on tap here, backed by two university professors working in nearby Banská Bystrica.
Wine, chocolate, beer, coffee, cakes - so that the rumours about their level don't remain only local. But they spread quietly to neighbouring Banská Štiavnica, the whole Hontian region, and when they reach beyond its borders, Peter will not be angry. And does the café have the potential to achieve this? Absolutely, but the best thing you can do is to find out for yourself and help Profile grow with your feedback.
